90 Seconds to Midnight: Design for a sustainable Future

I co-led an international workshop organized collaboratively by the New York Institute of Technology, the University of Cagliari, and Birmingham City University. The workshop aimed to stimulate creativity and innovation among future architects through a programme of talks, events, and collaborative design sessions. From October 14 to 19, 2024, participants engaged with recent research on sustainable design and worked in interdisciplinary teams to develop site-specific installations intended to revitalize cultural sites in complex urban contexts. Each team selected a case study, allowing participants to work on real-world projects and respond to the specific socio-cultural and spatial characteristics of their chosen site. The workshop emphasized themes such as urban regeneration and the integration of innovative technologies. Winning proposals were presented to an international audience.
