Educomix (research-based educational comics)

Description

Research-based artwork for teaching purposes. Creative pedagogy: A collaboration between Lily Hamourtziadou (researcher) and Kevin Hoffin (artist).

The educomix were used in teaching (MA International Relations) and with schoolchildren on visit day (outreach) at Birmingham City University.

They were also used at Labour Part Newcastle under Lyme branch as part of military education.

During the CSpace conference on July 1 at Birmingham City University, I presented the comics as educational tools for International Relations students.

When shared on LinkedIn, a NATO colleague remarked that they could be used in training staff! Kevin Hoffin and I are exploring such possibilities, as we work on new educomix.
