Description
An official journal of the National Council on Family Relations, Family Relations is a translational science journal that publishes contemporary scientific content about families for professionals who work with families. We publish empirical studies, systematic or scoping reviews, and conceptual analyses with implications for intervention, education, and public policy. We also publish short communication manuscripts (Lessons from the Field, Emerging Ideas) to surface problems experienced or incipient topics identified by practice scientists for discovery scientists to research.
Family Relations engages both scientists of discovery (basic and applied researchers) with scientists of practice (e.g., family life or parent educators, social policy analysts) to ultimately strengthen families through rigorous empirical research.
