Ethics and Ethical Practice: Perceptions and awareness a pilot study. [With Wiliams, J.].
This session focuses on discussions from a series of student workshops held in different schools within ELSS focused on ethics in their chosen professions.   The workshops were held as part of the work of the faculty’s Teaching Ethics Work Group and are part of an effort to raise awareness of ethics at all levels of life in the Faculty.  Students were asked a series of questions about their awareness of ethics in their field of study; whether it had affected their ways of thinking; and how they might act when confronted by difficult ethical conundrums.  They were also asked how they felt the University could make them more aware of ethical issues.  In this session, students’ responses will be shared with colleagues and the implications for practice will be discussed in an open forum.
