Following independent discovery of published research on dimensional tolerances in industrialised construction, A Senior Research Engineer, Assembly Systems, from the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry made unsolicited contact to explore potential collaboration. The MTC, a Catapult centre and leading UK advanced manufacturing research organisation, had been awarded internal funding specifically to investigate Tolerance Analysis within Industrialised Construction and identified this body of work through its own literature review. Subsequent engagement led to knowledge exchange, input into the MTC's research agenda and business case development, and active exploration of joint funding opportunities
