DescriptionEvery 01 October marks the United Nations' International Day of Older Persons. On 30th September 2023, I had the privilege of appearing as a guest on Nigeria's most popular TV station, Channels Television as part of the activities marking the International Day of Older Persons. I used the opportunity to create traction as regards the plight of Nigerian older persons. I called on the Nigerian national and sub-national governments to wake up to their responsibility of mainstreaming geriatric and gerontological narratives into national consciousness.
