Description of impact
Through the advancement and application of economy-wide Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling, BCU Business School has strengthened the integration of economic and healthcare policy—an essential step in enhancing global and regional preparedness and response capabilities for future pandemics. Our work has delivered actionable insights and robust policy recommendations, many of which have been adopted by national and international health bodies to better protect public health.Developed in close collaboration with policymakers and stakeholders, our models offer a forward-looking perspective on emerging healthcare risks and highlight the critical need to invest in healthcare innovation and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
