To mark the 250th anniversary of American Independence this resource pack for schools takes us back further to the early days of American colonisation. It is freely available and can be downloaded by schools to use as part of the Day of Welcome on 12th June 2026 as a prelude to Refugee Week. The resource enables pupils and staff to consider what life was like as a refugee to America in the Early Modern period in the way that many of the early colonists of America work.
