Amanda is Professor of Early Years at Birmingham City University. Her prior experiences include working as an early childhood practitioner in Wales, and an early childhood education academic at Waikato University, New Zealand, and Swansea university, Wales. With a specific interest in exploring children’s everyday interactions – including their participation and contribution – her research involves collecting video and audio data of children’s interactions and transcribing and analysing them using multimodal conversation analysis.
