Dr. Fernanda Perin holds a PhD in Economics of Industry and Technology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, Brazil). She is currently a Lecturer in Economics at Birmingham City University (UK) and a coordinator of the Economics of Innovation Working Group of the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI)/Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET). Fernanda is a Research Associate of the Economics of Innovation Research Group (UFRJ) and a Senior Research Associate of the South African Research Chair (SARChI) in Industrial Development at the University of Johannesburg.
Fernanda has published on areas of Economics of Innovation and International Business. Her research interests address empirical research on industrial policies and innovation and international strategies, mainly applied to the pharmaceutical/health sector.
