Gerald Feldman is Professor of Digital Transformation at Birmingham City University. His PhD examined organisational decision-making in Enterprise Systems and was complemented by substantial industry experience designing, implementing, and managing Information Systems, with a focus on digital adoption, decision support, and system integration. His research applies a process-led, socio-technical approach, addressing technical architecture alongside the organisational and human factors that determine whether new capability is genuinely adopted. This proved decisive when the workforce resisted shop-floor monitoring, shaping the redesign that secured adoption. Professor Feldman has directed the academic input throughout, reflecting his record of helping SMEs with their digital transformation strategy and roadmap.
