Personal profile

Research and Innovation interests

I am interested in practice-based research in education, particularly within the context of autoethnography. As a musician and teacher I view myself as a pracademic who seeks to illuminate and reveal the narratives of other teachers and education leaders, particularly marginalised voices that search for difference and a better future for those in their care. Recent research has centred on rethinking epsitemology within subject domains, contributing to debates in compulsory education that centre on the role of knowledge in schooling. What knowledge, whose knowledge and why?
