Issahaku Salifu was born in Ghana. He is a lecturer at the Department of Accountancy and Governance, Faculty of Business, Law, and Social Sciences (BLSS), Birmingham City University, Birmingham, UK. Prior to his appointment in May 2023, he had been studying a PhD programme in business with Birmingham City Business School. Before the commencement of his PhD study in September 2020, he was a senior lecturer in the Department of Accounting at Tamale Technical University, Ghana, where he taught financial reporting, corporate reporting, financial management, and auditing. He holds a Doctor of Finance degree from Swiss Management Centre University in Switzerland and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham City University, UK. He is a fellow and member in good standing of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
