Left the accountancy profession in 2012 after 28 years to move to a teaching role, initially at a further education college, moving to BCU in 2016.
A member of the Chartered Institute of taxation since 1996 and a member of the local branch committee, has extensive experience of the accountancy profession having been an associate partner in a large Birmingham based practice.
Established the BCU Student tax clinic in 2021.
Graduated in MSc Accounting and Finance with distinction in 2021.
Currently the employability lead for Accounting and Governance department.
Author of the annual publication – UK taxation: a simplified guide for students (Spiramus Press)
