Muhammad Khan serves as a Finance Lecturer at Birmingham City Business School. He earned his MSc in International Management with Finance from Queen Mary University of London and his PhD in the core area of finance from Birmingham City University. With over fourteen years in academic teaching and seven years in applied financial research, he instructs a variety of finance-related modules, to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, from introductory to advanced levels.
Muhammad Khan's PhD topic was "Impact of Earnings Announcements on Stock Returns," which examined the semi-strong form of market efficiency. He has co-authored several articles in international peer-reviewed journals on topics including the capital asset pricing model, capital structure, risk management, and Islamic finance, with a particular focus on emerging capital markets. Additionally, he is actively supervising Master's and PhD students in areas such as the shadow economy, risk management, and corporate governance.
