Dr Sandra Costa is an Associate Professor at Birmingham City University. Her research examines the nature of person-place interactions, exploring the choreographies of the experience and how individuals negotiate wellbeing in the landscape. Sandra is currently researching on the project Sonic Heritage and Environmental Change in the East England where she is looking at sounds and the relationship to communities and their landscape. Sandra’s research also informs and is informed by teaching design studio, live projects, and transdisciplinary collaborations, where she further investigates how can we design environments for human well-being whilst responding to and interacting with a changing climate.
