Personal profile

Research and Innovation interests

I am a qualitative human geographer interested in everyday active practices (such as transport and exercise), the ways in which they happen, how they change, and what they can tell us about societies and spaces. Specifically, I have studied:

  • Run-commuting
  • Post-collision cycling practices
  • Running mobilities
  • Exercise during social distancing

My work is interdisciplinary, sitting at the meeting point of:

  • Social and cultural geography
  • Mobilities and transport studies
  • Sport, exercise and physical cultural studies
  • Health studies
