- Make original contribution to knowledge by (1) filling knowledge gaps regarding Global South approaches to global animal law and regarding the application of TWAIL to animal welfare issues, and (2) commencing new research agenda on AWSA, which has not been the subject of academic study.
- Inform ongoing processes with knowledge of local and cultural African perspectives based on the AWSA case study toward a less Global North-centric approach by disseminating results amongst insert international NGOs
