Chronic wound infections are a major health problem with an increasing rate of 12 %,
annually in the UK alone. This condition has huge impact upon the aging population and is linked to various underlying medical conditions such as diabetes. For these reasons it is important to better understand the wound repair process condition and how underlining health conditions impact upon wound micro-environment. Thus from these studies to develop more effective novel treatments, such as the use of bacteriophages.
