    Abstract

Electronic voting (E-voting) systems offer advantages such as increased voter participation and reduced costs but are vulnerable to security risks, including lack of transparency, auditability, and susceptibility to fraud and manipulation. Traditional E-voting systems often fail to provide verifiable and secure means for vote collection and result tabulation. In this paper, we propose an asymmetric group key management algorithm based on the classical Diffie-Hellman method for key agreement and exchange in an E-voting system using blockchain technology. Blockchain technology addresses issues of transparency and auditability, enhancing the security and verifiability of the E-voting process. We discuss the strengths of the proposed key agreement technique and its application in creating a more secure and reliable E-voting system.
