    Abstract

    This chapter employs psychoanalytic and gender studies methodologies to consider the work of Italian exploitation cinema director. The chapter explores the filmmaker's interchangeable focus on horror and eroticism, whilst also charting the wider social and gender-based factors underpinning these representations.
