    Abstract

Wireless sensor networks have limited energy source. Especially when long distance communication is to be achieved by means of WSN, the limited energy is a hindrance. Pertaining same, energy efficient protocol is research areas of many. LEACH (Low energy adaptive clustering) is a hierarchical clustering protocol which has a base station and varying number of cluster heads for each round. In this paper we propose a scheme to enhance Leach by deploying multiple base stations. We have simulated and analyzed the effect of deploying multiple base stations within specific terrain, in terms of total energy consumed.
