This is a co-authored editorial that introduces the first issue of ARJAZZ, a new journal for artistic research in jazz. The journal is produced by the International Network for Artistic Research in Jazz (INARJ), of which I am a founder member, and hosted via BCU's institutional portal partnership with Research Catalogue
