ATHsENSe is a multiple interactive digital art installation, created by the Spatial Media Research Group (SMRG), a multidisciplinary group of artists and scientists. The project was proposed by SMRG for the “Interventions in the City” call, in the context of the “This is Athens-Polis2” program and was selected by a designated jury to be produced and installed. The strand of the program Polis2 “Serafio – Public building and digital art”, aims to explore how the identity of a city is shaped by urban data (created by the urban environment itself and/or the citizens) and how these data can be processed, analyzed and artistically represented by making use of digital technologies and media to produce narratives for urban life. The implementation of the project was funded by the Municipality of Athens and supported by the R.O.C.K project.
