Abstract
A collaborative project between Nuala Clooney and Kaye Winwood. A series of drinking vessels developed as part of a research residency in the School of Chemistry department of the University of Birmingham.
The glasses are created to explore touch, taste and smell, and the relationship between hand, mouth, tongue and nose. Expanded Intimacy explores the interplay between object and body particularly in relation to the sensualisation of food and drink experiences.
