Abstract
Knowledge of bioscience – that’s anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology – underpins sound clinical decision-making in nursing. It helps you ask the right questions about a patient’s signs, symptoms and observations, and enable nurses to advocate for patients with the multidisciplinary team. This article’s authors advise nursing undergraduates how they can gain understanding of the body’s systems and apply with bioscience knowledge in their clinical practice
