Abstract
The Office for Students (OfS) highlights graduates' job struggles, equity gaps, and difficulty
evidencing educational gain. Embedding entrepreneurial education (EEd) in curricula helps,
but faces student resistance and operational challenges. This session showcases Innovation
Fest at Birmingham City University (BCU), an academic-led initiative tackling these issues at
scale. Now in its 12th year, it fosters venture creation, pitching contests, and mentorship,
exceeding Knowledge Excellence Framework (KEF) benchmarks. It drives STEAM
collaboration, enhancing employability, enterprise, and entrepreneurship while excelling in
public and community engagement and graduate start-ups.
