Abstract

Neuroscience provides critical insights into the biological foundations of cognition and behaviour. Common methods used include electroencephalography (EEG), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These techniques have helped identify key brain regions involved in cognitive functions like the frontal lobe that is related to executive functioning and is linked to decision making and leadership. EEG based neurofeedback show convergent benefits for attention, emotion regulation, and decision making, suggesting potential benefits for leadership training. However, further research is needed to address limitations like small samples, variable analyses and oversimplified brain mapping.
