note = "Funding Information: All the programs are available at the Clwyd Computer Centre for each pupil to access from his own terminal, as indeed are other programs including the Chelsea Science Simulations. But by today these same programs are being modified so as to be used on micros. They have already been modified virtually in the same text format for the 380Z. They are now being modified for the Acorn Atom but also being improved to take advantage of the graphic facilities which micros can offer. b) Another project using the computer in a curriculum area was the Clwyd History Project. It wasjointly funded for 18 months by Clwyd and the National Development Project for Computer Assisted Learning (NDPCAL) and ended in December, 1976. The work was not complete and efforts have been made through voluntary work to continue the project. It involved a dual approach. Firstly in the construction of a new O and CSE course which meant writing new units based on the aims and objectives approach. This was launched in three high schools in 1977. The other aspect was using the computer as a data bank of census returns. One other aspect of the Clwyd History Project which unfortunately was not developed fully was the Reference to Resources system. Teachers and students were able to make an interactive enquiry by specifying features (from a code relating to type of resource, suitability, availability, topic, date and place). References were then made available in a brief form on the terminal or printed in full at the computer centre and posted to the school together with a copy of the enquiry made. If an enquiry was not fulfilled it was sent to the history teacher coordinating the production of references.",
