Abstract
Investigating and analysing how the Birmingham Royal Ballet ‘s production of the classic Marius Petipa ballet, was affected by the international Covid pandemic.
A deep insight into how the largest midlands-based arts organisation, under the artistic direction of internationally renowned dancer and choreographer, Carlos Acosta, demonstrated resilience to navigate through various national lockdowns and the impact these events had on the planning and launch of this new version of the classic ballet.
With unprecedented access to the companies’ processes, internally and externally, including all external contributors, this film outlines all aspects of a ballet production.
