Funding
As this research study was concerned with gathering students’ perceptions of their education in collaboration and BIM, a qualitative approach was considered appropriate. The focus groups built on previous research findings from the codeBIM project (Macdonald and Mills, 2013; Shel-bourn et al., 2016). This project was funded by the Office for Learning and Teaching through the Australian Government. Its primary aim was to develop a transferable collaborative BIM curriculum that could be used by all universities offering AECO programmes and degrees.
